Frank takes the stage at the Business Plus Live Podcast in Cork
We love a good home game and today was exactly that.
Our very own Frank Brennan joined the lineup at the Business Plus Live Podcast, hosted right here in Cork, for what turned out to be a brilliant morning of honest conversation, sharp insights, and the kind of energy that only a room full of ambitious people can generate.
Business Plus, one of Ireland's leading business publications, brought their live podcast format to Cork as part of their ongoing series spotlighting business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the country. The event drew a strong crowd of founders, operators, and professionals from the Cork business community exactly the kind of people we see walking through the doors of Republic of Work every day.
Frank on the Big Themes
Frank didn't hold back. Speaking on the evolution of how and where we work, he touched on the shift that's quietly been reshaping businesses across Cork and beyond, the move away from rigid, long-term office leases toward flexible, community-driven workspaces.
"The way people think about their office has fundamentally changed," Frank noted during the recording. "It's no longer just about a desk and four walls. People want a space that works for them, one that supports focus when they need it, collaboration when they want it, and a genuine sense of community all the time."
He spoke candidly about the journey of building Republic of Work, the challenges of creating a space that serves everyone from solo freelancers to scaling teams, and why Cork with its particular mix of talent, ambition, and community spirit was always the right place to plant a flag.

At Republic of Work, we've always believed that the best ideas don't happen in isolation. They happen when curious, driven people get in the same room, start talking, and refuse to stop.
The Business Plus Live Podcast is a great example of that in action. It gives Cork's business community a platform, not just to be heard, but to hear from each other. And that, in our experience, is where the real value lives.
We're proud that Frank was part of today's conversation, and even prouder that Republic of Work continues to be part of the wider story of Cork as one of Ireland's most exciting places to build a business.
