September RoW Roundup: A month of innovation, connection & growth
September was one for the books at Republic of Work. From welcoming EU leaders to launching new innovation programmes, our community of entrepreneurs, startups, and creators has been thriving, both here at our Cork co-working hub and across Ireland.
Welcoming EU Commissioner Michael McGrath to Republic of Work
EU Commissioner, Michael McGrath, and his team during their Cork visit to our Grow Room.
We started the month on a high note by welcoming EU Commissioner Michael McGrath and his team to Republic of Work as part of their tour of Cork.
It was an incredible opportunity to showcase how our innovation hub in Cork supports startups, small businesses, and remote professionals — all working together to shape the future of work and entrepreneurship in Ireland.
On the Road celebrating Ireland’s Startup Ecosystem
The Republic of Work team was on the move from coast to coast this September..
A warm welcome by Mary Rodgers, CEO Portershed
First stop: Galway, for the NDRC Startup Stage at PorterShed. Over 30 founders took to the stage to pitch their ideas in a four-hour showcase of creativity, technology, and ambition — proof that the Irish startup ecosystem continues to flourish.
Steve McCann from SOSV VC shared golden insights on what investors really want.
Next up was Wexford, where we joined the HBAN Angel Investment Pitch & Education Day at GreentechHQ. There, Steve McCann from SOSV shared expert insights into what investors really want to see from startups. It was a day full of knowledge sharing, networking, and inspiration for founders and investors alike.
